A photo of seven soil science alumni at a training in Arizona.

Last month, seven University of Minnesota soil science alumni who currently work for USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) attended the NRCS Basic Soil Survey course in Tucson, Arizona. These seven UMN alumni accounted for 23% of this year's national class!

These alumni were all involved in our soil science minor, field studies, soil judging, and LAAS graduate programs to various degrees and are now working as soil scientists all around the country, including four in Alaska!
