How would fast, reliable internet access change Antarctica? SWAC faculty member Dr. Peter Neff and collaborators explored this question in a workshop earlier this year. The team concludes that existing and future Antarctic research—from climate change to the origins of the universe—would be significantly enhanced if bandwidth limitations were eliminated through the availability of a modern submarine cable system.
