Restoring the prairie landscape and ecosystem has been a priority among conservationists in Minnesota but nearby croplands still have an impact. Dr. Pamela Rice and her colleagues found that insecticides commonly used to treat soybean pests are found in adjacent grasslands at levels that harm or kill bees, birds, and other wildlife. Read the recent publication in Science of The Total Environment.
