Dr. Laura Christianson was an associate professor of water quality and faculty extension specialist at the University of Illinois before joining SWAC as a Researcher 7 in Fall 2023. In this seminar, she will reflect on her experiences defining the concept of scholarship in extension from her context of agricultural water quality. This seminar is relevant for faculty with extension appointments (e.g., why does no one understand what I do?), teaching-oriented faculty (e.g., what do faculty extension specialists even do?), and other extension partners (e.g., how can we understand each other better?).
