Decolonizing agricultural research

The movement to “decolonize” science, or remove the outsized influence of European culture and thought in academia, aims to acknowledge the contributions of thinkers who have been marginalized by our current system. In a recent feature article in Nature, our invited Larson Allmaras speaker Dr. Sieglinde Snapp “offers several ways to decolonize agricultural research, starting with more equitable research partnerships and co-authorship between scientists in the global north and global south.” Read more in Nature and RSVP to the Larson Allmaras Lecture.
