SWAC faculty member Dr. Melissa Wilson appeared on the game show To Tell the Truth on Sunday night. In the modern reboot of this classic game show, Wilson had the opportunity to tell some lies AND the truth, and fooled some of the celebrity judges.
Earlier this year, Wilson, known as Manure Prof on Twitter, hinted that she was in Los Angeles but couldn't share what she was doing:
The premise of the game show is that a panel of three contestants must convince celebrity judges that they have an unusual profession, in Wilson's case, that she is a manure management specialist. Only one contestant is telling the truth; the other two are imposters.
Before the celebrity judges took turns asking her questions about manure, Wilson was an imposter, trying to convince the judges that she baked the prettiest pie.
Wilson said that filming was a blur, but certainly a unique opportunity to spread the word about manure! You can watch the September 12 episode (Season 6 Episode 19) on ABC or Hulu.
